Graham Hine

 

Dr Graham Hine
Chief Executive Officer

Dr Graham Hine was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Hardide plc in June 2008. He joined from P2i Limited where he was Chairman and Chief Executive and oversaw the creation of the world’s leading hydrophobic surface enhancement company.  He has more than 12 years’ experience in Chairman and CEO roles where he has significantly grown shareholder value in technology-based companies in the advanced electronic materials, semiconductors and sensors industries.  Graham began his career at Philips plc where he spent nine years on the international fast track scheme.  He subsequently held a number of director-level business development and general management roles in the advanced engineering and electronics industries.  He joined Capteur Sensors as Chief Executive in 1996 before selling the company to First Technology Plc in 2001.  He then spent four years advising a number of public and private companies on corporate activities and fundraisings.  Graham holds a first in Physics from Southampton University and a PhD in Physics from Cambridge University. 

 

Robert Goddard

Robert Goddard joined the Board of the Company as Non-Executive Chairman in January 2008.  A chartered engineer, Robert was on the executive board of Burmah Castrol plc until March 2000 and previously managed its worldwide fuels business and a substantial part of its chemicals business.  He subsequently joined Amberley Group PLC in November 2000 where he was Chief Executive responsible for turning round its four speciality chemical subsidiaries.  More recently he has undertaken a number of advisory and turnaround assignments.  He is also currently chairman of AWP Environmental Ltd, a group developing an advanced waste-to-energy business.


 

Peter Neil Davenport
Finance Director
Peter Davenport was appointed finance director and a board director of Hardide plc in March 2006. He joined Hardide in June 2005 as financial controller bringing ten years financial management experience. Previously he was financial controller at the UK subsidiary of NYSE-listed global coatings company Valspar Corporation.  Peter is an associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

 

 

Dr Yuri Nikolaevich Zhuk
Technical Director
Dr Yuri Zhuk is a co-founder of Hardide Coatings Limited and is responsible for the company’s patenting, technology and applications development programmes. In 1992, prior to joining Hardide, he co-founded Tetra Consult Ltd, a Moscow-based private technology consultancy company. Yuri has over ten years’ experience in international technology commercialisation and transfer; companies for which he has successfully delivered such projects include ICI, GM, Johnson and Johnson and Samsung. Yuri holds a PhD in Plasma Physics and Chemistry from Lomonosov Moscow State University.

 

 

Hugh Carlisle Smith
Non-Executive Director
Hugh Smith joined the board of Hardide in May 2003, having been one of the early investors in the company in 2000. He was formerly a senior export manager at British Leyland before helping to found Allmakes Limited, one of the UK’s largest independent suppliers of Land Rover spare parts. Hugh was Chairman of Allmakes until October 2006. He currently holds a number of non-executive directorships. Hugh chairs the Remuneration Committee and is a member of the Audit Committee.

 

 

David Edward Christian Mott
Non-Executive Director
David Mott joined the board of Hardide in April 2004. He is a fund manager with Oxford Capital Partners, a firm which specialises in managing investments in technology companies. David previously worked with Result Ventures, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Deloittes and he is now a director of several technology companies.  David chairs the Audit Committee and is a member of the Remuneration Committee.

 

  William Yale Zakroff
Non-Executive Director

William Zakroff joined the board of Hardide in June 2007.  He joined the General Electric Company in 1978 before working as a senior level general management consultant in Houston since he founded the Zakroff Group in 1984.  He has provided international business development and consulting services across major industrial sectors and has operated at the highest levels for many well-known oil and gas companies.  He is also the co-founder and CEO of Marinus Power LLC.
